What does Gratitude mean to you?

Gratitude is living  in a moment or reflecting on an experience with thankfulness and appreciation. Excitement, happiness and bliss are some ways I’d describe the feeling, too.

Sometimes gratitude gets left behind when we feel like we are overwhelmed in the daily grind. I know that at times I also lose the gratitude and actually have  an attitude, the kind that is not productive nor positive.

It’s up to me to recognize and acknowledge my own gratitude for things otherwise, with the not so great attitude, some really fabulous things and moments in life  may just pass me by.

One of my dear friends from junior high school just posted a reminder on her Facebook page of her once a year tradition. From November 1st through Thanksgiving, take note of something you are grateful for each and every day. I’m grateful she reminded me of this, too. And if she were blogging, I’d link you up to her!

It’s not too late to start your Gratitude Journal! So your challenge and mine…

  • Take out a piece of paper or pull out your iPhone, iPad or whatever you’d like to use to create that list.
  • Jot down something you are grateful for every day until we reach Thanksgiving.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. Hi Steph,
Interesting post! I was wondering if you’d be interested in sharing your articles with other like-minded parent bloggers? If yes, please email me at info@atomicreach.com with Parents in the subject line.

    Thanks,
