Being a working mom can feel overwhelming and stressful at times. Support is so important. I was able to break away for the evening Thursday night and enjoy dinner with a friend. I felt really lucky to do that after what had been a pretty tough week.
I missed my babies, but I made it home in time to tuck my little guy in before bed. My little boo woke up in the middle of the night and I happily rocked her back to sleep, too. Those moments are priceless and so are the ones that give us the opportunity to connect with friends as well.
The truth is we won’t find the extra time to do those things we push to the back burner. A day is 24-hours no matter how we slice it.
We need to make and take the time to do the things we enjoy. It’s a great way to re-energize and reduce stress, too. I hope you took a break for yourself this week as well!
